MINISTRIES

Our kingdom vision toward leadership

In Acts, the Bible teaches us that the apostles were instituted by Jesus to fulfill the ide. The word 'apostolic' means envoy; anointed; separate; prepared.

People who are called to the leadership ministry are called by God. In the church, we just name these “positions”, just for the sake of organization. We believe that it is not the formation itself that defines a ministry, but it is the ministry, the call of each one that will define the formation of life and the path that each one will follow within the body of Christ.

When you decide to accept God's call for your life and are willing to work for the Kingdom, then you are able to be appointed to exercise some ministerial role.

The church with an apostolic vision only names what is already being done. Of course, it is essential that a person is prepared and qualified to carry out the mission entrusted to him.

Therefore, we believe that the combination of the call of God and the preparation to fulfill the call is what the Lord desires for each one of us.

diaconate

Deacons are responsible for the general organization of the church. Biblically, they take care of the order of worship. It is much more than just receiving or collecting tithes.

A deacon needs to be prepared to give a friendly word, to pray, to cast out demons if necessary, to exhort in love, to lay hands, and that is the main difference between a deacon and a volunteer, for example.

They are people who work and care for the perfect functioning of the cult. He acts directly in the operational part at supper, in baptism, in the appeal, and in all actions that are part of the ecclesiastical moment.

The main prerequisites for being a deacon is to be responsible for schedules, to be consistent in services, to be diligent in reading the Word, to be a good manager of your home and a balanced person.

worker

The worker has a greater understanding and openness towards the Bible. He's an announcer, a preacher.

He is able to collect offerings, baptize, serve the holy supper, for example. He is a person who is already in a fuller stage when it comes to the spiritual.

A worker can be a cell leader, responsible for a specific service, minister at events.

elder

By the definition of the word "presbytery", an elder is "the old man", in the sense of having experience.

He does not necessarily have to be a deacon or an old man, but he must be experienced in the Christian walk. It is someone who understands pastoral authority and who is spiritually mature.

An elder is an advisor, a father in the faith for many, someone who acts in the 'backstage', exercising a function very close to that of a pastor.

evangelists

Evangelists have the gift of giving an evangelistic word, focused on reaching lives for Jesus. They are people who dominate the defense of the Christian faith and who exercise their calling to bring people to the Kingdom of Christ.

pastors

Finally, pastors have a responsibility to bring God's message to the community and are responsible for the general conduct and progress of the church.

school of disciples

At Hope Church, we created the school of disciples with the goal of raising up leaders (deacons, workers, evangelists, etc.) to fulfill the mission and serve the Lord with us.

The idea is to be an incentive/support group, with periodic meetings, in order to align the general vision of the church, adjust bureaucratic/technical details and give spiritual ammunition to leaders to know how to deal with some issues such as counseling, deliverance, etc.
